SMS Labs provides industry leading corrosion services with two Singleton salt spray chambers running per ASTM B117.
By exposing finished parts or test panels to a highly controlled corrosive environment, we are able to achieve accelerated corrosion activity quickly and accurately. Parts are documented prior to testing and again at intervals specified by the customer or industry specification.
Testing in the salt tank is commonly used for coating qualifications, research & development, and competitive product comparison. Primary industries served include Marine, Automotive, Medical, Firearms, Sporting Goods, and More.
